If you're too lazy to read the article, this is from a document obtained in the US via the Rreedom of Info Act. A document regarding US obejective in electronic warfare.
So we have a Superpower looking to have the ability to shut down all "globaly emerging communications systems". Sorry, but I'm not that comfortable thinking that a government wants the ability to shut down anything that may be considered a threat to their security. From the nation that brought the world the Monroe doctrine, Iran-contra, the Taliban, Pinnochet, Noriega all in the past 40 years; how much faith should we have they won't abuse this new tatic?

Anyway, just wanted to spread a touch of fear throughout the blogging world. sorry about that...but this is kinda crappy... a little Orwellian if you ask me.
